From an early age, composing has been an important element of Helens career. Her music has been performed at various locations including the world famous Snape Maltings Concert Hall, St. Edmundsbury Cathedral, broadcast on regional radio and has been the winner of many composition competitions.

Helen was in the unique position at the age of 16 of apprenticing under Howard Blake, the composer of 'The Snowman'. She arranged and hand prepared scores for publication and gained guidance in composition and orchestration. Helen currently continues to work with Howard from time to time on his work, editing, arranging & digitally setting (on Sibelius).
